Michael R. Lykken


Michael's practice involves business formation, transactions and litigation, real estate transactions and litigation, civil litigation, Trust litigation and Probate, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control matters, and Bureau of Real Estate matters including Recovery Account applications. 

Michael founded the firm as the Law Offices of Michael R. Lykken in January 2006. Prior to that Michael worked for a sole practitioner in Monterey, California, and before that a large immigration firm in Los Angeles, California.

Michael earned his juris doctor degree from Santa Clara University, where he earned his pro bono certificate and managed the Employment Law Center's Workers' Rights Clinic his second year of law school. While in law school, Michael spent one summer abroad in Moscow, Russia, where he studied Russian law and civil society and interned with the AFL-CIO/UAW Center for Labor Solidarity.  As an intern at the Center, Michael studied Russian court decisions  in order to develop a set of precedents Russian attorneys could use in future labor and wage and hour cases.

Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Area Studies and Russian Literature and Language from the University of Washington in Seattle Washington.
